U-PICK PUMPKIN PATCH
Open September 30 - October 31, 2024
10 a.m. - Sundownn
Farmer Don Kruger grew pumpkins on his Sauvie Island for 20 years and, since retiring is not in his blood, he planted a 1 acre pumpkin patch on his new farm in Maupin. It turns out that this climate is perfect for pumpkins and he has some of the largest, most perfect, pumpkin he's ever grown. This year, we've been battling the deer, so we have a limited supply of our specialty pumpkins. We do have a lot of large standard jack-o-lanterns.
Stop by the farm, visit our little patch, and grab a great pumpkin.
We will NOT be having a Harvest Fair this year. Next year....
SORRY, THANKS TO OUR HERD OF DEER, THERE IS NO MINI CORN MAZE AND A LIMITED SUPPLY OF SPECIALTY PUMPKINS THIS YEAR.
We love farming and invite you to stay at our working north central Oregon farm. The farm is located just beyond the tree line of the Mt. Hood National Forest and 10 miles from the Deschutes River and the tiny town of Maupin, Oregon. We are farming a few acres in pumpkins, corn, beans and melons. The roaming chickens and pigs are part of our menagerie. And, then there's our amazing cat Rocky, who keeps the place free of rodents. In the winter, the ski resorts of Mt. Hood are only 45 minutes away. In the summer, the Deschutes River calls with rafting and fly fishing just 20 minutes in the other direction.
Our family began farming 20 years ago on Sauvie Island outside of Portland, We retired but sill wanted to farm....just a little. We ended landed in Maupin, Oregon at the base of Mt. Hood and close to all of the recreation that the Deschutes River offers summer visitors to the region. Thank you for supporting this tradition.
